Jacqueline Euan, a clinical social worker with UCLA Health who is striking with UPTE-CWA, said the union had to strike because the UC left them with no other option.

“Our labor is our source of power,” Euan said. “We would love nothing more than to be with our patients, but they’ve left us no choice,” she added.
