Gallery: UCLA women’s basketball falls short a 2nd time this season in rematch with USC

In a March 1 rematch at Pauley Pavilion, then-No. 2 UCLA women’s basketball (27-2, 16-2 Big Ten) ceded a series sweep and the Big Ten regular season title to then-No. 4 USC (26-2, 17-1).

The Bruins struggled to contain standout Trojan guard JuJu Watkins while producing a lackluster offense of their own, trailing throughout the game to eventually lose 80-67. Now entering the postseason with a ranking reversal, UCLA and USC are set up for potential showdowns in both the Big Ten tournament and March Madness, in which the Bruins will likely seek to redeem their only two losses of the season.
