SEC foes to tip off shortly

I know we’re all really here for the second of tonight’s game, but this first one could pose some implications to UCLA. Depending on how things shake out, the winner here could be staring the Bruins down next. So yes, it matters. Eyes up.

On one side, you’ve got Dawn Staley’s storied South Carolina program, who are somewhat allergic to losing in March, 20-1 over its last four Tournament runs – hoisting the trophy in three of those years. The only hiccup? 2023. And you better believe they remember it.

On the other? Vic Schaefer’s Texas squad, scrappy as ever and probably dreaming of its first national title since 1986. That’s pre–Space Jam. Pre–Taylor Swift. Pre–just about everything. But you really can’t count out Madison Booker and that program.

Let’s see who’s punching their ticket to the title game. Tip-off coming right up.
