Denise Curry, familiar name, right?
Yeah, the Hall of Famer who, alongside Ann Meyers Drysdale, led UCLA to a national championship in 1978 and a Final Four in 1979.
I had the chance to speak with her earlier this week, and at the end of our lovely hour-long chat, I had one pressing question. Who wins, her 1978 title-team or the 2025 Bruins?
“This year’s team is winning. Oh yeah,” Curry said. “I’m glad we don’t have to play them, to tell you the truth.”
