Former Pac-12 basketball foes No. 15 UCLA men’s basketball (3-1) and No. 5 Arizona (4-0) went toe-to-toe in a back-and-forth Friday night showdown at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood.
The Naismith Hall of Fame Series matchup carried the weight of one of college sports’ most storied rivalries, with the Wildcats coming out on top in a 69-65 victory despite trailing the Bruins by as many as 10 points in the first half.
The night paid tribute to the late Bill Walton, a two-time National Champion at UCLA and a Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer who advocated for basketball greatness in the “Conference of Champions.”
