AFSCME Local 3299 is offering striking workers $100 per day for “hardship assistance” if they participate in the strike, according to signs posted on union tents in Bruin Plaza. Union members will only receive the checks if they do not work for the duration of the strike and picket for at least eight hours in each given day for which they wish to receive the money.
