Two top-10 wins.

Two court storms.

Two parties at Pauley.

A month and a day after beating then-No. 4 Purdue in similar fashion, UCLA men’s basketball (18-9, 10-6 Big Ten) took down another ranked opponent at home, upsetting No. 10 Illinois (22-6, 13-4) at the buzzer in an overtime thriller Saturday night at Pauley Pavilion.

Down one point with 4.9 seconds remaining in the extra period, senior guard Donovan Dent – in similar fashion to Tyus Edney in 1995 – weaved past four Fighting Illini defenders to beat the clock with a layup, clinching a 23-point comeback victory – the largest in program history and the second largest in Big Ten history.
