To close out the World Cup, Burbank went for the brace.
Downtown Burbank hosted the FIFA Los Angeles World Cup 26 Fan Zone on July 18 and July 19 during the tournament’s last two matches. The full-day, weekend-long event broadcast England’s third-place win over France before closing with Spain’s victory over Argentina, which secured Spain’s second men’s World Cup.
Outdoor concerts followed each match, with Loud Luxury performing July 18 and Bebe Rexha on July 19. The event took place along San Fernando Boulevard and neighboring streets, offering a mix of free street fair activities and ticketed attractions. As of the morning of July 18, the fan zone had sold more than 11,000 total tickets, Burbank Mayor Tamala Takahashi said.
“A successful event is everyone comes and enjoys themselves, has a great memory of Burbank, and everything goes smoothly,” Takashi said. “Everyone’s safe and happy, and having a lot of fun together and is coming together as a community.”
