After appearing in a series of telenovelas and movies, Mexican pop artist Ximena Sariñana released her debut Spanish-language album in 2008. Instrumental post-rock band Explosions in the Sky will be playing at Coachella.
Apr. 6, 2012 – Fourth-year business economics student Ritesh Gupta has embraced the stereotype of the college rock band and taken it to another level. He founded collegeroots.com, a website specifically designed to connect listeners with artists affiliated with universities and colleges around the United States. His passion for entrepreneurship has fueled the rapid rise of CollegeRoots, which recently hit 20,000 listens on the site. While he balances multiple jobs and being a full-time student, he makes time for CollegeRoots. It’s become much more than just a pet project and weekend hobby.
