The Samuel Goldwyn Writing Award is an extremely prestigious award that started at UCLA. Three of this year’s finalists are from the school of film’s MFA program. They are Marissa Matteo, Alaric Smeets and Stephen Wolf (not in photo). Previous finalists and winners include felllow Bruins Francis Ford Coppola and Scott Rosenberg.
