Cultural Affairs Commission aims to fund repatriation program for Indigenous art

A newly reelected undergraduate student commissioner plans to support and fund the repatriation of Indigenous artifacts at UCLA. Promise Ogunleye, the Undergraduate Students Association Council Cultural Affairs commissioner, pledged to facilitate artifact and art repatriation efforts during her run in the 2021 USAC election. COVID-19 vaccinations relieve faculty, student stress ahead of return to campus

Several UCLA students and instructors who have been vaccinated expressed relief and hopefulness as they anticipate a transition back to in-person learning. School of Engineering commencement to remain virtual, with in-person recognition

Although students of the School of Engineering petitioned to have an in-person commencement, the ceremony is set to remain virtual. Anneliese Peterson, a fourth-year aerospace engineering student, hoped to celebrate her 2021 graduation from the Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science with an in-person graduation ceremony that resembled those in the years prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
