International students speak on how they are impacted by COVID-19

Professors reorganize, students adjust to first week of online classes

UCLA works to secure online learning environments after ‘Zoombombing’ disruptions

UCLA officials are taking steps to avoid recent “Zoombombing” incidents in which people interrupt online lectures with vulgar audio and chat messages. The university is working on providing support to students and faculty who were verbally attacked during the incidents, which took place during the first week of spring online instruction, Chancellor Gene Block said in a campuswide email Wednesday. UCLA moves summer session A online, extending remote instruction through Aug. 28

UC lifts testing requirements, other admissions standards in response to pandemic

Incoming UCLA students and future applicants will see some of their admissions requirements relaxed because of the novel coronavirus pandemic. High school students applying to UC schools in November 2020 will not have to submit SAT or ACT scores after college entrance examinations were suspended nationwide, the UC said in a press release. Racist ‘Zoombombing’ incidents at UCLA disrupt online classes and students
