As election results trickled in Nov. 5, UCLA students gathered to watch in Pauley Pavillion. Students share their notes on UCLA study spots’ pros and cons

To find the perfect study spot at UCLA, students have to race for available seats and wrestle one another for power outlets. UCLA has 22 outdoor study spaces, 30 indoor study spaces and eight libraries, according to the UCLA website. Read more...

UCPD reports 3 residential burglaries, arrests 1 individual for on-campus battery

From Thursday to Sunday, UCPD received three reports of residential burglaries at the Sepulveda University Village Apartments and arrested one individual for battery on campus.  According to a crime alert sent Monday, UCPD received three reports of residential burglaries at the Sepulveda apartments, though no suspects were observed at the time of reports. AFSCME Local 3299 rallies together for 2-day strike against UC

This post was updated Feb. 17 at 5:30 p.m. Thousands of workers struck against the UC on Wednesday and Thursday. Members of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Local 3299 – which represents patient care, service and skilled craft workers – voted to authorize a strike with 99% support after alleging that the University bargained in bad faith during contract negotiations. Student Alumni Association’s annual Beat ‘SC rally brings UCLA fans together

Students flocked to Wilson Plaza on Wednesday for the Student Alumni Association’s annual Beat ‘SC Rally. Approximately 2,750 people attended the event, a tradition ahead of UCLA football’s yearly rivalry game against USC, according to a written statement from Elizabeth Salgado, a third-year theater student and one of the rally’s directors.
