Photo: The 38th annual Vietnamese Culture Night took place Monday in Royce Hall and was themed “Time in Tides.” The event, which was hosted by the Vietnamese Student Union, featured a theatrical production and a mix of dance and musical performances by student groups such as AweChords A Capella and VSU Modern. UCLA to refine 2018 Strategic Plan based on task forces, student feedback

New public health summer program seeks to expose students to field

A new UCLA summer program will give college students interested in public health hands-on experience in the field. Students in the UCLA Public Health Scholars Training program will conduct field work three days a week from June to August with a community-based organization in the Los Angeles area, and will also receive a $3,000 stipend, housing, meals, a metro pass and a paid trip to Georgia, where they will visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
