Statistics lecturer develops, implements new AI teaching aide

The department of statistics and data science has a new teaching aide – only, it isn’t human. Thomas Maierhofer, a lecturer in the department of statistics and data science, developed an artificial intelligence teaching aide to use in his Statistics 10 and 20 classes. Read more...

Students discuss experience of overnight line for UCLA-USC men’s basketball game

Hundreds of Bruins crept out of their dorms Tuesday at midnight, ready to participate in an annual tradition. The students rushed to the Intramural Field, forming a line that they would wait in for hours to secure spots in the student section of Pauley Pavilion to watch the UCLA men’s basketball game against the University of Southern California on Tuesday. Fee-increasing referendums pass USAC, await chancellor approval for May ballots

Jonli Tunstall assumes role of UCLA’s Academic Advancement Program director

Jonli Tunstall will serve as the new associate vice provost of student diversity and director of UCLA’s Academic Advancement Program.
