USAC commission opens funds to subsidize BruinCard replacement, laundry

The Undergraduate Students Association Council Financial Supports Commission is piloting new funding initiatives to subsidize BruinCard replacements and laundry costs. The commission’s Replacement BruinCard Fund will provide students with a once-per-quarter $10 discount on the $25 BruinCard replacement fee or complete coverage of the $5 fee to exchange an existing BruinCard with a new one. Pro-Israel demonstrators rally in Bruin Plaza in mourning of Israeli hostages

Around 50 pro-Israel demonstrators gathered in Bruin Plaza on Wednesday to raise awareness about Israeli hostages. Distinguished professor emeritus, renowned urban planner Donald Shoup dies at 86

Donald Shoup, a distinguished professor emeritus whose parking reform ideas inspired generations of students and urban planners, died Feb. 6. He was 86. Shoup, who taught in the urban planning department at the Luskin School of Public Affairs, researched the hidden costs of free parking in cities and spent his career advocating to remove mandatory off-street parking requirements.
