Bruins host book drive to promote literacy in Uganda
A recently created student group is holding a book drive this week to help raise money for donations to libraries in Uganda. The Literate Earth Project at UCLA plans to work with Books For Africa, which ships donated textbooks and library books to Africa, to combat global illiteracy and help local primary and secondary schools in Africa. UCLA students launch model aircraft in engineering class
The engine of a small, student-built plane roared to life as about 50 students and professors gathered to watch it complete a seven-meter-long track.
