Westwood trees to be replaced

Students walking down Westwood Boulevard may notice a change in the scenery in the coming months as Westwood officials move forward with plans to remove several trees in the area, despite opposition from community members. Read more...

Community members are concerned that trees are lifting up sidewalks in Westwood. As early as January 2013, 18 trees along Westwood Boulevard, Kinross Avenue and other areas around the city will be removed and replaced.




Anderson School of Management sees an increase in applicants despite national slump

The number of applicants to the Masters of Business Administration program at the UCLA Anderson School of Management are up, despite a trend of fewer applications to MBA programs nationally. The Anderson school has recently seen a 22.3 percent increase in its application rates, which officials attribute to revamped recruiting practices, said Rob Weiler, associate dean of the full-time MBA program at Anderson.
