UCLA, USC compete in 5K to help fund Special Olympics

“We Run the City,” a 5K race between UCLA and USC students that was held for the first time this year, started out in Wilson Plaza Sunday morning. The rivalry run, which raises money for Special Olympics Southern California, will be held on both campuses alternatively until the 2015 Special Olympics.

Melissa Ma, a fourth-year psychology student, is the last student left pursuing the language, interaction and culture minor at UCLA. The College of Letters and Science Faculty Executive Committee voted last month to discontinue the minor. However, Ma is allowed to complete her minor first.
