Senior scholars expand knowledge

What’s in an age? Bruin senior scholars show learning is positive and possible, even later in life. Advancing its mission of "living better longer," the UCLA Center on Aging offers the Senior Scholars Program "“ which allows people ages fifty and over to audit classes for a nominal fee ($150/one course or $250/two courses per quarter). Students reveal how the personal, professional and social benefits of an inter-generational education transcend age. Dr. Gary Small, Director of the UCLA Center on Aging, also comments on what the program reveals about brain development. "What’s in an age? Bruin senior scholars show learning is positive and possible, even later in life."

Vandals paint USC in blue and gold

A group of UCLA students wrote "UCLA" on the turf of the USC Cromwell track early Friday morning using bottles filled with eight gallons of blue and gold acrylic paint. Read more...
