USAC urges UCLA to allocate more resources to students in recovery from addiction

UCLA Phi Delta Epsilon chapter closes doors during university investigation

This post was updated Dec. 6 at 8:55 p.m. Pre-professional medical fraternity Phi Delta Epsilon has closed its UCLA chapter amid a university investigation. The national fraternity, which has had a chapter on UCLA’s campus since 2004, closed its UCLA chapter after the opening of a university investigation into its activities, according to an emailed statement by Karen Katz, the fraternity’s CEO. USAC passes resolution in favor of naming November Sikh Heritage Month

The Undergraduate Students Association Council passed a resolution calling on the UC to recognize November as Sikh Heritage Month. The resolution, which passed unanimously Nov. 14, acknowledges the historical trauma and ongoing violence experienced by the Sikh community, as well as the community’s contributions in the state of California and beyond.
