Man steals 55 MacBook laptops from YRL
University police are searching for a man wanted for stealing 55 MacBook Pro laptops from the Charles E. Young Research Library early Saturday morning. The laptops were stolen from an equipment loan room on the ground floor that is part of the Campus Library Instructional Computing Commons, police said. Read more...

Man climbs onto second-floor balcony, enters UCLA student apartment
A man entered a UCLA student apartment Saturday evening after climbing onto the second-floor balcony, university police said. The student inside saw the man shine a flashlight into her room at the Keystone/Mentone Apartments about 4 miles southeast of campus before he entered about 9:45 p.m., according to a UCPD statement. UCLA to implement $200 fine for violating dismount zones
University police will start handing out $200 tickets to bikers and skateboarders whizzing through Bruin Walk next week. UCPD officers have stopped students on wheels this past week and given warnings for violating dismount zones to let students know about the change. Read more...
