UCLA to become first California university to offer ChatGPT Enterprise accounts

UCLA will become the first university in California to implement OpenAI’s ChatGPT Enterprise. With a limited number of accounts, UCLA will offer students, faculty and staff access to ChatGPT Enterprise – an artificial intelligence tool designed to streamline the teaching and research processes – according to a press release. Regents approve allocation of tear gas, drones, less-than-lethal weapons to UCPD

UCLA, Duke study finds detailed journalism affects local infrastructure spending

A UCLA and Duke University study found that reading high-information local journalism is correlated with support for funding local infrastructure. The study, conducted by Megan Mullin – a professor of public policy at UCLA – and Andrew Trexler – a doctoral candidate at Duke University – illustrates how local news can contribute positively to the health of infrastructure, said Trexler. LGBTI protections expand as public acceptance grows, Williams Institute finds

Social acceptance correlates strongly with legal protections for LGBTI individuals, according to a new report from the Williams Institute at the UCLA School of Law. Latino Data Hub Action Lab empowers community leaders to create data-driven change
