A UCLA lecturer suing UC administrators for over $22 million will see his case go to trial Tuesday. Gordon Klein, a continuing lecturer in accounting, filed a lawsuit against Antonio Bernardo, the dean of the UCLA Anderson School of Management, and the UC Board of Regents in September 2021. The California State Legislature rejected Gov. Gavin Newsom’s proposed funding cuts to the UC in its June 9 revision of the state budget. The legislature passed a state budget amounting to $325 billion Friday, rejecting Newsom’s proposed cuts of $129.7 million to the UC. Read more...
