Robert Hertzberg, Lindsey Horvath vie for LA County Board of Supervisors position

Two candidates for District 3’s Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors representative have advanced to the Nov. 8 general election. Candidates Robert Hertzberg – the current California State Senate majority leader emeritus – and Lindsey Horvath – a member of the West Hollywood City Council – received the highest number of votes in the June 7 primary with 31.08% and 27.74% of votes, respectively, according to the LA County Registrar’s Office. Former UCLA OB-GYN James Heaps’ criminal trial begins with testimony

This post was updated Aug. 21 at 8:34 p.m. The sexual assault trial against former UCLA OB-GYN James Heaps began Aug. 9 and remains underway. Heaps, who was previously a faculty member at the David Geffen School of Medicine and an OB-GYN at UCLA Health from 2014 to 2018, has been accused of sexual misconduct by more than 100 former patients. LA Metro progresses with extension project through Westwood

The Los Angeles Metro is making its way to Westwood through the Purple (D Line) Extension Transit Project. Expanding from the existing Wilshire/Western stop in Koreatown, the project is adding seven new stations along Wilshire Boulevard, leading into West LA to improve the traveling experiences between downtown and the Westside, according to the Metro website.
