Hundreds of protesters march to Azerbaijani Consulate demanding justice for Armenia

A group of Armenian Americans marched to the Azerbaijani embassy after a week-long hunger strike to draw attention to the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict. Members of the Armenian Youth Federation, a global Armenian organization, set up tents adorned with Armenian flags and banners on the corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Veteran Avenue on Sunday in response to the escalating armed conflict. UCLA researchers find health care inequalities adversely affect low-income youth

Low-income youth are more vulnerable to physical and mental illnesses which can lead to long-term health and socioeconomic impacts, a UCLA study found. The study, published in Health Affairs, a health policy journal, measured children’s vulnerability in health development when they first start kindergarten, said Neal Halfon, the director of the UCLA Center for Healthier Children, Families and Communities and a co-author of the study.
