Power outage affects Westwood businesses, residents

More than 200 residents and businesses are without power after an outage in Westwood on Sunday night. Power went out at about 7:55 p.m., said a Los Angeles Department of Water and Power spokesperson. Read more...

Alum Norman Powell donates $5 million to support university librarian

Williams Institute launches project studying male sexual violence victims

UCLA researchers will help lead a project that will culminate in global policy recommendations to address sexual violence against men and boys. The Williams Institute at the UCLA School of Law, a research institute that focuses on sexual orientation and gender identity, will work with the United Nations and other humanitarian groups to carry out the All Survivors Project. Trial for alleged murderers of UCLA student postponed

The trial for the two men accused of murdering UCLA student Andrea DelVesco in September 2015 has been pushed until early next year. Eric Marquez, a former UCLA student, and Alberto Medina, a former Fresno State University student, were arrested last year in connection with DelVesco’s death. Read more...
