USAC leaders work to increase gun control advocacy among students

UCLA Dining juices up Bruin Café with new spritzers

UCLA Dining Services introduced four new juice spritzers at Bruin Café last week as part of its Healthy Campus Initiative. UCLA Dining Services officials said in a statement they began testing the new Minute Maid spritzers at Bruin Café to provide students with low-calorie drinks and promote healthy lifestyle choices. Proposition HHH puts housing projects for homeless on November ballot

Los Angeles residents will be able to vote in November on a measure that would build 10,000 housing units over 10 years for homeless individuals. Proposition HHH would lend $1.2 billion to developers from general obligation bonds paid by property taxes. Read more...

Solar umbrellas to open up outdoor charging opportunities on campus

An undergraduate student commission is drafting a proposal to install new solar umbrellas on campus. Students would be able to charge their phones, laptops and other devices if the umbrellas are installed, said undergraduate student government Facilities Commissioner Sandra Rhee. Read more...
