SWC’s Well-Fair informs students of health, wellness opportunities

Students were able to get information about health- and wellness-related internships and speak with committee leaders at an event Monday. The undergraduate student government Student Wellness Commission held a resource fair called the Well-Fair in Bruin Plaza to encourage students to learn more about wellness-related issues and become involved in SWC, said Christina Lee, the undergraduate student government Student Wellness commissioner. Residential Life launches themed floor for Pilipino community

Hedrick Hall 5 South will now be the official Pilipino residential floor for UCLA. A group of students approached the Residential Life staff about creating the Pilipin@ Community because they wanted a community on the Hill that would represent their culture, said Lori Vogelgesang, director of academic programs at UCLA Residential Life. LA Metro to add more trains to Expo Line to settle increased demand

Los Angeles Metro plans to add more trains to the Expo Line by December to meet growing ridership. In August, 43,015 people rode the line daily, reaching about 70 percent of the daily ridership Metro planners projected for 2030, according to a report. Read more...

White House honors UC Regent Eloy Ortiz Oakley for service to students
