Fire on Roebling Avenue extinguished following UCLA men’s basketball win

Over 1,000 people protest executive orders at Stand Up For Science rally Friday

This post was updated March 9 at 9:09 p.m. Over 1,000 people – including students and scientists – protested Trump administration executive orders related to science and health at a Stand Up For Science rally Friday.  Protesters gathered at noon at the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Veteran Avenue to protest, hear speeches and write letters to government representatives. Gen Z Wellness Summit challenges self-perception, change-making in mental health

Filled with high school students, giveaways and celebrities, the Ackerman Grand Ballroom transformed into a vibrant wellness hub Sunday morning. The 2025 Gen Z Wellness Summit – hosted by the UCLA Friends of the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior’s Teen Advisory Council along with Unlikely Collaborators, a conflict resolution organization – featured guest speakers, live music and mental health-related activities.
