UCLA assembles search committee for diversity vice chancellor position

UCLA officials recently formed a committee to help the university find candidates for a new diversity-related vice chancellor position. The committee will have 15 individuals, including professors, administrators, one graduate student and one undergraduate student, according to an email that UCLA Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Scott Waugh sent to the campus community on Friday. UCPD plans to increase presence for spring quarter Undie Run

University police plan to deploy an increased number of police officers at this quarter’s Undie Run because they anticipate increased attendance at the event. The Undie Run, an unofficial university tradition usually held on the Wednesday of final exams week, typically has a larger police presence in spring because more individuals participate in the event during that quarter, UCPD spokeswoman Nancy Greenstein said in an email statement.
