405 Freeway’s Montana Avenue off-ramp to permanently close
The Montana Avenue exit off of the northbound 405 Freeway will close permanently by Monday morning, officials said. The change is part of an ongoing construction project that is meant to ease traffic on the 405 Freeway by adding a lane and rebuilding several on- and off-ramps. Read more...

UCLA installs first bike counter in Southern California
Bike enthusiasts and UCLA Transportation officials attended a ceremony Friday morning to unveil a device that counts passing bicycles on Strathmore Place. Located between an overpass and the intersection of Westwood Plaza and Strathmore Drive, the device is one of few active bicycle counters in the United States, said David Karwaski, senior associate director for UCLA Transportation Planning, Policy and Traffic Systems.
