Ace Hagar, loving brother, genuine friend deceased
Ace Hagar, a third-year undeclared student, died Sept. 30 from injuries sustained in a car crash on Interstate 15. He was 24 years old. Hagar’s family and friends knew him as a loving brother and genuine friend who worked hard to attend his dream school, UCLA, and became the first in his family to go to college. Read more...

UCLA’s international student enrollment is up
UCLA is enrolling increasing numbers of international students despite growing competition from universities abroad, according to a recent report from the Institute of International Education. The UCLA Bruin Democrats, Bruin Republicans and Bruin Libertarians faced off against one another for the first time at a debate on campus Tuesday night. The Political Science Student Organization organized the debate, which touched on issues such as the Affordable Care Act, prison reform, immigration reform and the recent government shutdown.
