Assistant dies of fire injuries
A UCLA research assistant died on Jan. 16 after incurring injuries following a December laboratory fire. The 22-year old victim, whose name was Sheharbano Sangji, was left with second- and third-degree burns covering 40 percent of her body, according to a UCLA statement. Read more...

UCLA students gather to celebrate inauguration
Students gathered in Collins Court early Tuesday morning for a viewing party of the inauguration of President Barack Obama. Representatives from the undergraduate student government, Bruin Democrats and the Community Programs Office hosted the viewing party, which began at 8 a.m. and ran until a little after 10 a.m. Read more...
