Independent report on Taser incident released
The independent investigation into the incident where a UCLA student had a Taser used on him in Powell Library has been completed, and a report has been released. The report, authored by Merrick Bobb, finds that a UCPD officer violated the department's use of force policies in this incident, and further recommends that UCPD change those policies to ban the use of a Taser on passive resisters.
