Science&Health: Students lend a hand in ER

Roland Palvolgyi heard a helicopter drone overhead, and the intercom in the Emergency Department buzzed “ETA, five minutes.” Along with doctors and nurses, Palvolgyi watched as the TV broadcast images of a helicopter landing on the helipad above the UCLA hospital, and the Emergency Medical Technicians unloaded a man onto a stretcher. On-campus Greenhouse offers organic options

Students now have a new and healthy food alternative on campus. Greenhouse, a health food bar, opened in Ackerman Union on Dec. 11. Sbarro faces health scare

While most students were reveling in the lazy days following fall quarter finals, a minor battle took place on the first floor of Ackerman Union. Insects were discovered in the kitchen of the Sbarro eatery on campus, causing the restaurant to close down for two days in December. Read more...
