Applicant pool for law schools shrinks, competition slackens

Students applying to law school after graduation may face fewer competitors as law schools nationwide have seen a decline in applicants over the past year. According to the Law School Admissions Council, the total number of law school applicants in the nation decreased by 4.6 percent between 2004 and 2005, the first time in seven years law schools did not see an increase in applicants.
