Ad Team wins regionals
Even nerves and over 200 pairs of critical eyes couldn’t stop the UCLA Advertising and Marketing Team from winning their regional competition this week. On Monday, the UCLA Advertising and Marketing Team, also known as “Ad Team,” won the District 15 regional competition of the American Advertising Federation’s National Student Advertising Competition held at California State University, Fullerton. Protestors march against animal testing on campus
During demonstrations Thursday morning in front of UCLA Medical Center laboratories and buildings, about 15 animal rights protestors asked, “Hey UCLA, what do you say? How many animals did you kill today?” The demonstration was organized by University Students for the Ethical Treatment of Animals who argue UCLA is wasting taxpayers’ dollars on the inhumane and unethical treatment of animals used in laboratory experiments.
