Faculty reacts to former President Donald Trump’s federal indictments

Some political experts predict former President Donald Trump will maintain strong Republican support in the 2024 presidential election, despite several federal indictments and other challenges. After announcing his reelection campaign in November, Trump was indicted four times between March and August for his alleged participation in a conspiracy to defraud the United States in the 2020 presidential election, possession of classified documents, and business fraud in Florida, Georgia and New York. Volunteer Day provides opportunities to connect with LA community

Volunteers gathered at 46 sites on campus and around Los Angeles, including schools, parks and food banks, said Jeffrey Hwang, the UCLA Volunteer Center program coordinator, in an emailed statement. California Rep. Kevin McCarthy becomes first House speaker to be ousted

The United States House of Representatives voted to oust California Representative Kevin McCarthy as speaker of the House.  In a 216-210 vote, Florida Representative Matt Gaetz successfully brought forth a motion to vacate the position of House speaker. Read more...
