Council supports same-sex marriage The undergraduate student government passed a resolution in support of same-sex marriage at its meeting Tuesday night. The resolution states that “(the Undergraduate Students Association Council) shall vigorously support legislation that benefits the (Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) community.” Internal Vice President Allende Palma Saracho said USAC passed the resolution because the ability to “express one’s love for one another should not be questioned.” The resolution was passed two weeks before UCLA’s National Coming Out Week 2003 Celebration.
