Parking: a whole lot of trouble

Local merchants believe the public’s perception of Westwood having little available parking and only a few retail stores is driving many potential visitors elsewhere. As many retail outlets leave Westwood and large, corporate chain stores favor more popular and accessible shopping promenades like those of Santa Monica and Century City, merchants worry the public will have even less reason to come to Westwood. Charity kids’ camp requires aid, funds

UCLA, you’re needed. The official charity of our campus, Unicamp, a summer camp for kids at or below the poverty level run almost completely by students and funded through donations, will have to turn away 400 kids in August and September after an unfortunate accident rendered the only bridge to the program’s campsite unsafe. Audit committee meets to discuss business practices, comprehensive review

Financial accountability concerns dominated discussion when the University of California Board of Regents audit committee met last week at UCLA.
