New USAC position for international students added to spring ballot
The undergraduate student government may introduce a position to represent international students, following a vote at its Tuesday meeting. The position, which the Undergraduate Students Association Council voted Tuesday to put on the spring election ballot, is modeled after the transfer student representative and would serve as a liaison between USAC and the Dashew Center for International Students and Scholars. Sydney Kamlager to represent Westwood as new state assembly member
Sydney Kamlager will be the representative for the state assembly district representing Westwood, following a special election Tuesday. Los Angeles County voters from parts of West Los Angeles, including Culver City, Inglewood, Baldwin Hills and Westwood, voted in Kamlager, a Democrat and president of the LA Community College District Board, as the next assembly member for District 54. Alumna, actress Mayim Bialik will deliver commencement address for 2018
An actress and UCLA alumna will deliver the 2018 college commencement address in June, UCLA officials announced Wednesday. Mayim Bialik, who is known for her role in the sitcom “The Big Bang Theory,” will speak at both commencement ceremonies in Pauley Pavilion on June 15. Read more...

UCLA social organization provides support for acquired brain injury victims
A patient Nina Cherian works with did not lose his love for golf even after his stroke two years ago. “He really likes to play golf, and he says that when he plays golf, he feels like the way he was before he had the stroke,” said Cherian, a third-year neuroscience student. Read more...

Hillel allows students to exchange meal swipes for kosher food
