Vandalism incident sparks responses from Jewish student leaders

The president of UCLA’s undergraduate student government rededicated a new mezuzah outside of her office Thursday after her previous mezuzah was vandalized over winter break. Program uses travel fees to finance projects combating greenhouse gas

A UCLA program launched this month will use funding from fees levied on business-related air travel to combat greenhouse gas emissions. Campus departments are now required to pay an extra $9 for each business-related domestic round trip and $25 for each international round trip that staff members travel by air. Read more...

Muslim Student Association calls for larger prayer spaces for students

Muslim students are continuing to pray at an outdoor loading area due to the lack of private prayer spaces on campus. The Muslim Student Association currently holds its general Muslim prayers at the loading area behind Kerckhoff Hall, a public space that is often disrupted by foot traffic and heavy construction activities related to the renovations in Ackerman Union.
