UCLA social welfare professors earn grant to study US civic engagement

Two UCLA professors have received a $100,000 grant to research civic engagement in the United States. The Corporation for National and Community Service, a federal agency that oversees national volunteer organizations such as AmeriCorps, awarded a National Service and Civic Engagement Research grant to assistant professor Laura Wray-Lake and professor Laura Abrams, who both work in the Luskin School of Public Affairs. UCOP to reduce senior employee reimbursements following audit report

Senior University of California employees will receive fewer reimbursements for travel and no allowances for cars starting next week. UCLA making campus workers use multifactor authentication online

UCLA is requiring faculty, student workers and staff to enroll in a security enhancement for their login to UCLA internet applications by Oct. 31. All campus faculty, staff and student workers will be required to use multifactor authentication when signing into UCLA applications, said Andrew Wissmiller, associate vice chancellor of information technology services, in a staffwide email last week.
