UCLA alumni launch online platform for sharing Filipino experiences

Conrad Contreras and Mallory Valenzuela named their online forum aimed at connecting Filipino-Americans after Bahay Kubo, a communal stilt house signifying community in Filipino culture. Contreras and Valenzuela, who graduated from UCLA in 2015 and 2013, respectively, launched wearekubo.com, an online content engine, in August. Read more...

Newly approved UCSA campaign advocates for disability resources

Students across the University of California are working to improve resources for students with disabilities through a new two-year project. Tree branch falls on Kelton Avenue, damages pickup truck

Residents discovered Saturday that a tree fell on Kelton Avenue. The tree had two primary branches, one of which split off from the main trunk and fell onto the street below, damaging a pickup truck. Read more...

UC graduate student associations vote to leave UCSA in conference call

Graduate student associations in University of California campuses are no longer part of the UC Student Association, following a vote by graduate student leaders Thursday.
