UCLA grant funds student-run community enrichment projects

Kareem Elzein said a lack of funding and proper resources are key disadvantages of social justice projects. USAC calculator loan program aims to ease financial concerns

An undergraduate student government office is creating a calculator loan program that will launch later this week. Ruhi Patil, USAC Financial Support commissioner, organized the initiative, which aims to lend calculators to students who cannot afford to buy their own. Read more...

USAC Election Board announces spring campaign calendar

The undergraduate student government election board explained spring election rules and announced the campaign calendar during a candidate orientation session Friday. Candidates can campaign online starting April 18 and will participate in an event called Meet the Candidates on April 22. Read more...

Two new slates, three total, to run 19 candidates in May USAC election

Nineteen candidates will run in the upcoming spring election, the undergraduate student government Election Board confirmed Saturday. Three slates, or student-run political groups, will be running candidates in the upcoming Undergraduate Students Association Council election in May. Read more...
