USAC end-of-term recap – 21 resolutions passed in 2023-2024 school year

The Undergraduate Students Association Council passed 21 resolutions throughout the 2023-2024 school year, ranging from supporting different labor unions to supporting diverse ethnic groups. Council resolutions exist to express the opinion of the council and pass when a majority of council members vote for them, according to the USAC bylaws. Read more...

Outgoing USAC officers reflect on their time on the council, 2023-2024 term

USAC freezes transfer of funds to endowment until UC divests

The Undergraduate Students Association Council unanimously approved a change to its bylaws Tuesday that freezes the transfer of funds into its endowment until the UC divests from companies participating “in the violation of human rights.” The amendment, proposed May 28 by Cultural Affairs Commissioner Alicia Verdugo, makes changes to Article VII – which concerns finance – of the USA Bylaws. Bruins elect 1st international student as USAC president in 2024 elections
