This post was updated May 1 at 9:04 p.m. The USA Elections Board disqualified two candidates from the upcoming Undergraduate Students Association Council election. Christina Morcus, a candidate for USAC president, and Abrar Alzabin, a candidate for Academic Affairs commissioner, both failed to submit required funding disclosures, according to notices of disqualification approved by the elections board Wednesday. Candidates were required to submit their first funding source disclosure Monday, though the board granted 36-hour extensions to candidates who failed to meet the deadline, according to the notices. The Undergraduate Student Association Council allocated over $125,000 in funding and approved the 2025-2026 election ballot during its Tuesday meeting. USAC is the official student government representing the undergraduate student body at UCLA. Read more...

This post was updated Dec. 16 at 7:49 a.m. Minutes from a meeting between UCLA administrators and Undergraduate Students Association Council officers revealed that students whose visas were revoked had previously been arrested. Nineteen students and alumni had their visas revoked as of Thursday, said USAC President Adam Tfayli. The United States government revoked the visas of around 50 international students and alumni across the UC, according to a Tuesday statement from UC President Michael Drake. Read more...

The 2025 Undergraduate Students Association Council election ballot will feature the fewest candidates since 2022. Thirty-two candidates will appear on the ballot, which will be open May 9 to May 16. Read more...
