Temporary changes made to USAC election process after UCLA moves classes online

Student government election managers changed election rules in light of class suspensions due to the novel coronavirus. Navi Sidhu, Undergraduate Students Association Elections Board chair, brought up the need for changes to the election requirements at an Undergraduate Students Association Council meeting Tuesday because of UCLA’s decision to move classes and finals online until April 10. USAC external vice president fails to receive pay for weeks due to lost DACA status

Every Tuesday night, 15 student government representatives congregate for council meetings. But for the last two weeks, one seat has remained empty. The Undergraduate Students Association Council is composed of undergraduate student representatives who receive a stipend for fulfilling their work as outlined in the council’s constitution.
