Election board chair announces ballot for fall special election

Undergraduate student government officials announced the ballot for the fall special election at their meeting Tuesday. The fall special election is being held to fill the positions of General Representative 2, General Representative 3 and Financial Supports commissioner since no one ran for those positions during the spring election. Various student government officials unite at UCLA for leadership conference

Student government leaders deliberated how to hold administrative officials more accountable and increase student engagement at a conference Sunday. The Student Leadership Association of California met at UCLA with student government representatives from a dozen universities including UCLA, Stanford University, the University of Southern California and Occidental College. New BruinCards now have national suicide prevention hotline number printed on back

The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline number is now being printed on the back of all new BruinCards. Eduardo Solis, former Undergraduate Students Association Council general representative 3, made good on a 2018 campaign promise to include the NSPL number on the back of BruinCards. Read more...

Academic Senate undergraduate representatives to receive stipends for their work

Undergraduate students on the UCLA Academic Senate will now receive stipends for their work. Following a year of meager appointments, the Undergraduate Students Association Council Academic Affairs commissioner decided to fund stipends for appointed undergraduate student representatives on the Academic Senate.
