USAC proposes installment of cameras in Kerckhoff in response to hate crimes

Student leaders are calling for security cameras to be installed at Kerckhoff Hall after several hate crimes occurred during the school year. The Undergraduate Students Association Council first proposed adding security cameras to the third and fourth floors of Kerckhoff during its meeting May 8 because the Academic Affairs commissioner’s door was vandalized with a homophobic slur earlier in May. Judicial board declines two petitions against election board

The undergraduate student government judicial board rejected two petitions against the election board Thursday. The judicial board denied to review a petition by Rafi Sands, a former Undergraduate Students Association Council external vice president and member of the Bruins United slate, claiming the election board made a number of violations to the judicial board order that was released May 10, according to the memorandum from the judicial board to Sands. USAC Election Board to reinvestigate voter coercion allegations
